2014 Expanded Product Recall

REQUEST FOR REPAIR OF RECALLED 5 TRAY DEHYDRATOR – MODEL #1009 WITH MAY 2013 CAP REPAIR KIT

LEM Products Distribution, LLC (LEM) is initiating a voluntary recall expansion of model 1009 5 tray dehydrators that have had May 2013 recall repair kits installed with serial #'s between 20100701 and 20121008. Damaged wiring in the food dehydrators can come into contact with a metal bracket inside the machine, posing a shock hazard. The recall is being done in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

First, you need to confirm that you have a dehydrator that is included in this expanded recall. Please look on the back panel of the dehydrator (see below pictures of the label) and confirm that it has a sticker stating “READ MANUAL BEFORE OPERATING”. Also confirm that your product label states "5 Tray Dehydrator Model No. 1009".

Second, you need to confirm that the serial number on your unit is between 20100701 and 20121008. The serial number is on the label pictured above. Upon confirmation that you have a Model 1009 5 Tray Dehydrator with the label “READ MANUAL BEFORE OPERATING” and a serial number between 20100701 and 20121008, then please complete the click below to complete your request to repair your unit free of charge.

We ask that you first immediately unplug the unit and stop using it until it has been repaired.

Upon receipt of your information, LEM Products Distribution will send a postage paid label and instructions for returning your Model #1009 - 5 Tray Dehydrator for a Free Repair.

We are aware of the inconvenience this may cause and we apologize. We are committed to providing safe dependable food processing equipment.

In an effort to demonstrate our commitment to safe, dependable products, we are extending the warranty on all 1009 dehydrators for 1 year from the effective date of the recall, which is until February 18, 2015. We also are giving you a $20 credit, with an expiration of February 18, 2015, to be used on the purchase of any LEM products.
