FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why does my chamber sealer not start when I close the lid (1380)?

The large 1380 Chamber sealer has a microswitch that is pushed when the lid is closed. This switch is on an adjustable bracket. If the unit does not start when the lid is closed the switch may need to be adjusted forward. Remove the back panel of the unit. Directly above the black oil cap is a set of wires that lead up to the microswitch. The switch is fastened to the bracket with two Allen head screws with two 6mm nuts. Loosen both of these and scootch the whole switch towards the front of the unit then tighten.

Can I vacuum seal Liquids?

Yes, chamber sealers can seal liquids. You will want to chill the liquids down in the fridge to prevent them from boiling at room tempurature when under vacuum. You will also want to wipe off any moisture at the top of the bag so that the seal bar closes it completely.

Can I use normal sealer bags in a chamber sealer?

Yes you can use traditional rôle material as long as it is narrower than 10 inches for the 1380. To create a rôle material bag in our 1380 sealer that does not have a seal only function natively you can edit one of the three settings to reduce vacuum time to 10 seconds (unit needs at least ten seconds of vacuum to seal a bag properly).

How long can you use the sealer without a break?

The 1745 MaxVac Pro should be rested after 30 continuous seals. The oil pump based 1380 MaxVac Pro+ can handle hundreds of seals.

It is always advisable to wait 30 seconds between seal cycles for the heating elements to cool down properly before vacuuming your next bag. This helps prevent residual heat from building up in the metal element and over sealing and burning through your bags.
