Featuring stainless steel construction and designed with a noise-dampening feature, this grinder can handle a wide range of meats, including beef, pork, lamb, mutton, venison, and deer, and comes with a convenient storage drawer for easy access to accessories. Includes: stainless steel knife, 3 stainless steel plates (4.5mm, 10mm, and stuffing), 3 plastic stuffing tubes (1/2", 1", 1-1/8" OD), and meat stomper. Our exclusive BigBite® technology's unique extended auger aggressively grabs hefty "bites" of meat from the pan and draws them through the large-diameter throat where the rifled head quickly feeds them through the grinder. Meat churns quickly through the grinder with no clogging or bogging down and no forceful stomping, resulting in a faster and easier field-to-table experience!

Great Investment

I bought this #5 meat grinder 12 years ago to grind cooked corn for Arepas and Empanadas. I have been using it since with no issues so far. Great inversion. Now, when my business is bigger, I have to buy a faster and bigger version. No doubts this is brand I will get.

2010 Model still going strong

I purchased the .35hp grinder in 2010 but mine says #8 on the box therefore I assume LEM has changed models and hp over the years. I wanted to leave a review for the ones that wonder I if they need a larger grinder. I I typically grind 10-15 deer a year with this grinder along with whatever hogs I kill (4-5). I will also process deer for friends. On average I’d guess I run around 20 deer per year through a 2010 model .35 hp LEM grinder. The durability has been fantastic. It rarely bogs down. The majority of my grinds are straight venison or 70/30 with bacon ends or pork butt. This is a great grinder that will last for years to come. If mine ever dies I will definitely buy another LEM grinder.

Happy Upgrade

We purchased the 5 after using our KitchenAid with grinder, sausage attachments which is fine for 5 lb batches.
.This #5 works flawlessly. We also purchased the foot peddle. Watching LEM and You Tube videos we are filling our freezer with Italian Fennel Sausages, smoked and fresh kielbasa and great Beer Sticks.
Perfect for 20- 30 lb batches. We also are using LEM 5 lb stuffer. Love this product. Joe and Jackie from Maine.

BIG BITE #5

Grinder has exceeded expectations right out of the box. I have owned it for a month and already have 40 pounds sausage in the freezer. Perfect for a one man operation. It has ground everything I have put through it( pork,venison,chicken) without hesitation. And stuffing sausage has worked perfectly. I would definitely recommend this grinder.

Great little grinder.

This is a great little grinder. I have periodically used it in the last month and have ground around 6-7-deer it had no issues when the meat was cold enough. If the meat is warm it will bind a little but will eventually get there. Just let it do the work, keep the meat cold and no problems. I have probably done with these 6-7-deer around 85 pounds of meat.

Very Satisfied

Mostly to be used for processing deer and making venison sausage. Haven't used the sausage stuffer yet but grinds flawlessly and quickly. I was contemplating the .5hp but glad I didn't and I'm king of overkill.

Another note, it is wicked quiet which I wasn't expecting.

Solid

Thought I’d be a little sorry I didn’t pony up for the #8 but I’ve done a few big rounds of ~100 lbs of brats and burgers this thing was more than enough. Never even flinched. If you’re doing a couple deer a year and other random grinds here and there, don’t hesitate. We also use it for our huge garden; probably put several hundred pounds of tomato’s through the juicer attachment.
