fit great metal are going to be better than my plastic ones my son keeps on breaking he is to strong for plastic. But not strong when it comes to helping around the yard.

Replacement
After many years of abuse it came time to replace the gears and bushings on my stuffer. Quality parts & easy to replace. Works like new again.

Replacement gear
Purchased these gears to replace the plastic junk gears that wore out on my gander mountain 5lb stuffer. Gears were a perfect match. Great customer service. Called customer service because website said sold out, you can buy the parts separate or together. Sent out same day received quick.

replacement gears for 5lb stuffer
I stripped the gear on the handle of my brothers cheap gander 5lb stuffer. This set is built for LEM but the small gear fit like a glove, the heavy gear has different threads than the cheap polymer shaft on that stuffer but wasn't needed. When that shaft goes we'll replace with a LEM part as well. The LEM gears are steel and a great upgrade for the polymer on cheap stuffers that always seem to fail.

If there are two different types of gears available (silver/Black), can you please post the differences between the two different parts. That would allow me to measure my nylon gears, and order the correct parts.

The gears are not the only thing that needs to be considered. We have replaced plastic geared units in the past and found that the silver gears seem to work best, but this is no guarantee it will work with your stuffer. If you want more specifics please call our service department at 877.536.7763.

Unfortunately, we do not know if these gears will work with other manufacture stuffers. We do have a 30 day money back guarantee if you would like to purchase and they do not work out.

can you give the specs on these gears so that we can see if they will fit our gander mt. sausage press? dimensions? thread diameter and count? you could be selling a lot of these gears if we could find out if they fit. I don't want to order them and be out shipping costs if they don't fit.

the silver gears do fit gander mtn 5 lb stuffer. the gear set I received came with the threaded rod and brass washer. the threaded gear does fit the gander threaded rod but it is snug.

Yes, but you will also have to replace the metal rod, the piston and the piston gasket. The frame could also be replaced but it is not absolutely necessary. If the frame is not replaced there may be a slight amount of play. While they aren't available online yet, they can be ordered via phone at 877.336.5895. We're available between 8 am and 6 pm EST Monday through Friday, although we will be closed on New Year's Day.
