Transform your processing and harvesting and expand your possibilities with our Drain Meat Lug. Drain lugs keep your food products out of liquid during thawing and cleaning. Fill with cuts as you butcher or thaw meat or use to wash fruits and veggies during harvest. Makes marinating a breeze. The uses are endless! Fits inside all LEM Meat Lugs, except for the Mini Meat Lug. The Heavy-Duty lug won't crack, split or warp even in the freezer. Smooth interior and exterior for easy cleaning. Dishwasher and freezer safe. 

Compatible with our Reinforced Meat Lug Cover or Meat Lug Snap-On Lid (sold separately).

I purchased meat lugs, drain lugs and
Lids a few years ago. Really like them, works in refrigerator great. Easy to clean up. I decided I needed another drain lug and 2 more lids ,the drain lug is the same, but I was disappointed that the lids came different, rough texture and a little harder to clean , don’t match my existing , and can’t see in lugs without removing lid.

How does the liquid drain out of the lug?

The drain lug has perforated holes in the bottom of it, allowing liquid to drain right out. If used inserted into another lug, the drain lug sits higher off of the bottom of the outside lug allowing liquids to be contained underneath of the drain lug in the outer lug.

Is it made of food grade plastic and safe for using curing salts and seasoning in?

The Drain Meat Lugs are BPA free and will do fine with curing salts & seasonings.

Is this drain lug just the economy meat lug with holes in the bottom? And are all of your lugs the same length and width size, economy, standard, heavy duty, and drain, so they will nest with one another? They have slightly different measurements listed.

The drain lug is not the economy meat lug with holes in in. You are correct that the 3 LEM lugs are slightly different in size. The lugs will nest and all lugs will use the same cover and snap on lid.
