Make uniform sausage links in no time at all with this manual Sausage Linker! Feed your rope sausage into the linker, pull to the desired length (from 1" to 7" long) and hand crank the handle. The Sausage Linker accepts up to 42mm diameter natural or collagen sausage casings. Stainless steel construction for easy clean-up. Includes a spool of thread for tying off each link.

should have a higher base. crank handle hits the table or real close if you dont have it on the edge of the table

Persistence Pays Off
We struggled initially, as we got our links were too big! Clearer instructions on threading the machine would be helpful. Once we got it working correctly, it was great! So much fun to use & makes uniform links quickly.

Personal experience
I've purchased nearly 10k in LEM products over the yrs. This was the only truly disappointing piece of equip .I've purchased. The string constantly breaks even when adjust tension. The tension is needed to actually get ends of links tight. Can't get tight when string breaks repeatedly. when NOT tight enough, Natural Hog/Sheep casings will not even seal which then doesn't allow the moisture to stay in the products while cooking causing product to dry out vs helping cooking process by keeping [steam, heat, moisture] in until the product cooks, swells and bursts like a traditional Bratwurst would do on the BBQ.
This is further amplified when using edible Collagen casings. Collagen casings also [tougher] to eat, but will [never seal] on the ends to keep moisture in, regardless if hand twist or use linker. [Solely based] on my personal experience. Maybe there's some tricks I do NOT know that might help with this problem? If so, feel free to give me some hints.
This linker did clean easily, did process faster than [hand spinning] ea individual link. I do anticipate using a much stronger string then comes with this piece of equipment in hopes of creating a tighter end seal to the links without breaking the string and hopefully getting a tight enough seal to make this work [BETTER], if I cannot achieve this in the end? Then I'll consider this a failure and waste of several hundreds of dollars. But I do hold out hope this fixes the issues as I've never had a negative comment on any LEM equip. or seasonings, prep products, knives, lugs, sealers, Electric sausage stuffer's and the list goes on and on.
