With chamber sealing technology, you'll be able to increase the shelf-life of your home-packaged perishables better than ever. The MaxVac® Pro is a heavy-duty chamber sealer seals all types of foods, including liquids like soups and stews, preserving flavor and nutrients, and preventing freezer burn. It's also ideal for marinating meat and making boil-in (sous vide) bags. Compact and lightweight, this convenient countertop chamber sealer features a maintenance-free pump and a multi-function digital control panel that allows you to easily adjust adjustable vacuum and seal times. A digital light bar shows the vacuum progress, and the transparent lid lets you see inside the chamber and watch the progress, while the silicone gasket ensures an airtight chamber. The chamber accommodates canning jars (quart, pint, or jelly) laying down. Use the canister port inside the chamber for sealing accessories and larger jars; vacuum hose included. The Marinate function runs 3 times consecutively without sealing, speeding marinate time from hours to minutes. Includes riser insert to level and take up space in chamber. Removable heat bar makes cleanup easy.

Do you have to use chamber vaccum bags or can you use regular vaccum bags?

Other vacuum bags can be used in the sealer.

Mine seals too hot and melts the sealer bags that came with it. Any hints on how to prevent this?

Does this machine cut bag rolls?

This will not cut bag rolls.

What is the largest bag size this sealer can take inside the chamber?

This will take a 10 x 13 bag inside the chamber.

Can I vacuum seal larger than 11x13 items by holding item outside of chamber and opening of bag inside?

The seal bar is 11.42". Any bag larger than this would not seal properly.

Should the port filter cover be popping off and hitting the glass when the seal is finished? Also, should the unit be able to get to 100% vacuum?

Can I vac seal a summer sausage 3” 1/2 tall inside?

The Chamber size is 11.24" L x 11.81" W x 3.93" deep

This thing blows air into the bag while supposedly counting down the vacuum,and then sucks it out at the last minute. Is that correct?

Will it seal only for ( making a bag)?

Yes, it can be used to seal textured bags externally.
