Great tool. I was using a jerky shooter to stuff my sausages. It worked but very difficult. The mighty bite makes it really easy to stuff sausages. Easy to clean up too!

Beats the snot out of a KitchenAid stuffer; 5lbs in one go is unrealistic
Just tried this out today for the first time and am very satisfied. I've been using a KitchenAid PTO stuffer since I got into sausage because I make small batches - 2 1/2 to 5 pounds. I've been very frustrated with the "backflow" problem on that device when stuffing casings with a stomper, so after reading the reviews of folks with the same struggle, I got this MityBite 5#.
This eliminates the suction problem of the KitchenAid device, and also ensures that you don't end up grinding product beyond the texture that you want - no worm gear, kidney die or blade running a second time as you stuff your casings. I have an old, unrenovated kitchen, so I did not need to resort to building a bigger platform and mounting with bolts to save my countertop. The C-clamps worked fine. I may choose to do this later when I do a kitchen renovation. Loss is minimal, as other reviewers have mentioned. Besides the loss in the stuffing tube, there's maybe an ounce or two at most in the bottom of the cylinder when completely finished.
Like my experience with the LEM Mini Meat Lug, I think that the advertised capacity is optimistic.
I routinely make 2 1/2 lb batches, and both my bratwurst and breakfast sausage 2 1/2lb batches pushed this "five pound" cylinder to around 80 percent full. Keep in mind, this device also sits very low on the counter, so whatever you use as a receiving pan for your casings needs to be low as well to fit under the stuffing tube. I used a cookie sheet. Review my attached pictures if you need more context.
If you have ANY doubts about how big your "small" batches will ultimately be, I suggest you consider the larger 15# stuffer. For me, this is fine. If I have to back out the gear to fill the container again to make a 5 pound batch, it's rare. No big deal.
Cleanup is much easier as well. I bought their stuffer cleaning kit to make life easier on myself. My old KitchenAid device is destined for Ebay.
I'm giving it Five Stars because it "meats" my requirement perfectly. But again, if you think your batch size will grow at all, go LARGE and get the 15 pounder.

This stuffer and stainless steel tubes are great. Make things go a lot faster and I prefer stainless because it is easier to me to clean and never stains like plastic.

Did first batch of brats. Crank turned easily and product came out nicely and filled casings easily. Extra pair of hands is helpful to move filled casings for a full batch but if split it up one could do by self. Clean up was fast and stuffer plate comes off easily for cleaning.

Came in original box, but looked at little ruff. Items were in good shape. Can't wait to use it in February. Did a lot of chat with Mary, she was the biggest help!

This stuffer is a work horse for it's size. If you do small batches this thing is perfect. I tend to do larger batches and have to fill this up multiple times which is a bit of a pain but not a real problem for me. It hasn't let me down yet!

Another great LEM product.
I'm going to give it five stars even though I haven't got to use it yet. I have other LEM products and the stuffer seems to be another great quality product.
Look forward to putting together some great sausages.
