1ppund game bags
Used the bags for venison. Grind it directly into the bags with my #8 dual grind big bite fitted with a 2” tube. Works great, way better than vacuuming one pound bags.

We like these bags.
The bags are easy to fill and we like using the “one pound” line to maintain fill weight.

The bags are perfect for my ground venison, no weighing just stuff the bag. Twist the top and run it through the taping machine and done. Keeps it from getting freezer burn too.

I usually vacuum seal my deer meat after processing in burger. It easily lasts a year in vacuum bags. I'm considering changing to the Wild Game bags, thinking it might be easier to stuff right out of the grinder. I'll probably stuff 100-125 pounds of meat. Will the meat last as long in the Wild Game bags since they are not vacuum sealed? What is your recommendation?

IDK if this is what LEM would advise but I do both. I like the size, convenience and pack-ability of the two pound bags but when I plan on storing my meat longer than 4-5 months I usually will grind all of it into two pound bags then put 3 side by side in a vac sealer bag and seal them up. They keep great this way and I'll cut open the vac seal bag as I need them.

With new technology emerging regarding biodegradable plastics, do you offer, or have you considered offering biodegradable meat bags? As a hunter that prefers a clean environment, it would be a nice option if possible.

Unfortunately, we don't currently offer biodegradable plastics. However, I'm definitely passing your suggestion on to our product development team!

Are these bags BPA free?

Yes, our meat bags are BPA free.

Can you use Spring Loaded Pliers And Hog Rings SKU: 816B to close these bags?

Yes, you can. The Spring Loaded Pliers and Hog Rings are perfect for our meat bags.

Can the bags be heat sealed?

The game bags can be heat sealed but the quality of the seal is highly dependent on the time and temperature. Using an impulse sealer with time adjustments would work best. I found 2-3 seconds at the most does the job and then allow the seal to cool before moving it about too much. (Impulse sealer is available on our sister site Roots & Harvest. Here is a link: https://www.rootsandharvest.com/category/s?keyword=impulse ) The bags are can also be sealed with Poly Bag Tape, cotton twine, or hog rings. http://www.lemproducts.com/product/ground-meat-packaging-system-with-tube/meat-bags-tape http://www.lemproducts.com/product/hog-rings-pliers/casing-closures http://www.lemproducts.com/product/cotton-twine/casing-closures

What is the best permanent marker for these wild game meat bags?

We have not tested for this purpose, but any permanent marker should work.

I have a #32 grinder and a 20lb motorized stuffer. Which one would work the best for filling these bags?

Both would work just fine. The grinder would be faster if your have a 2 inch tube.

How do you get the air out of the game bags?

If you pack the meat while filling this should eliminate the air pockets.

Can these be used in a smoker?

Yes, these work well in a smoker.

Can I vacuum seal these bags ?

These bags are not made to be vacuum sealed.
