Chris Stafford was born and raised in Larkspur, California, and developed a deep love of barbecue in his early 20s after spending a few years living in Arkansas. After returning to California to finish up school and pursue a career in Technology, he began selling Central Texas inspired barbecue on a platform called Shef, before ultimately forming Lone Mountain Barbecue in Marin County, California.

Love the zipper closure
First LEM are probably one of the best products on the market right now. Remember you get what you pay for. Quit using the most common bags years ago after their steal-a-meal bags broke open when using them for a boil in the bag Elk Hunting meal. LEM zip open bags work great for when you will have extra food to store or use the next day or so. Also great for things like frozen Blueberries, Grapes or Whole Strawberries. Think of all the frozen foods you now buy which come with a zipper strip and apply the same principle to the LEM products.

They come with the zippered side sealed not the bottom of the bag. I was expecting to be able to manually vacuum them and zip the bag shut. They don’t offer enough room to do that since they are factory sealed on the zipper end. Otherwise they are really good quality, just not easily reusable.
