Chris Stafford was born and raised in Larkspur, California, and developed a deep love of barbecue in his early 20s after spending a few years living in Arkansas. After returning to California to finish up school and pursue a career in Technology, he began selling Central Texas inspired barbecue on a platform called Shef, before ultimately forming Lone Mountain Barbecue in Marin County, California.

LEM has been my go-to for almost 20 years. They have always had the best quality equipment for meat processing, canning and preserving cooking and seasoning. They have a great selection that can accommodate the skills of the beginner and go all the way up to a skilled hunter, butcher and cook. There may be other brands out there that are cheaper and get the job done, but they won’t last as long, and you will not enjoy using them as much! If you are going to spend the money, buy from the best and get the quality that is going to last. You will not be disappointed by anything that LEM can offer.

Last week I bought the Jerky Cannon to add to my arsenal and made the backwoods jerky that came with it. My coworkers made the jerky disappear with a smile on their face.
