Description
Upgrade your food processing routine with a heavy-duty, commercial-grade slicer that lets you easily slice boneless meats, cheeses, bread, slightly frozen beef, or even the toughest meats into perfect deli cuts. The BigBite® 8 ½" Slicer is perfect for hunters, food processors, chefs, and culinary enthusiasts who desire to make their own foods. Incredibly simple to use, our slicer’s intuitive controls allow you to adjust the thickness of your slices easily. The sliding carriage is gravity fed with the food tray angled toward the blade, allowing you to make precise cuts without manually feeding or pushing your roasts, hams, and pork bellies. Plus, the food holder and included hand guard offers added protection. This slicer can slice as thin as 1mm or as thick as 10mm (.4") and any thickness in-between, making it perfect for ultra-thin slices or thicker cuts of beef, chicken breast, dried salami, jerky slices, or even cheese. The stainless steel blade turns at 515 RPM for quick and easy slicing. A one hour run time gives you plenty of time to complete the job in one session. Another great feature of the BigBite Slicer is how quiet it is, making it perfect for use in any setting. And when it comes time to clean up, the sliding feed table, pusher, and blade are all removable for cleaning, making it easier to wipe down and store away until your next use. A cut-resistant glove should be worn when removing, cleaning, or handling the slicer blade.

Additional $7.00 handling charge will be applied at checkout.

Good machine
Quality machine.
The only thing that is not good at, is slicing block cheese, the motor bogs down and stops, it is under-powered for cheese products.
Other than that, it is well built, very easy to clean and put back together.
The parts are solid, and well made.
Cutting Beef, Ham or Pork, No issues at all, sure has made my life alot easier.

This is a wonderful slicer. The controls are easy to use and the blade is super sharp. It takes a little to get used to if this is your first attempt, but no worries, it is like second nature after a while. GREAT PRODUCT!!!

27 Questions
What is the distance from the back of the food tray to the leading edge of the knife? I am curing whole Pork Bellies, and need to know if it will be powerful enough to slice a belly that has been folded in half?

The tray is approximately 6 3/4 x 7 5/8 and the right end sits just in front of the slicing blade. The food tray is approximately 1/8 from the Food plate and slicing blade when set at the zero position. The slicer is powerful enough to slice bacon but has not been tested with the bacon folded in half. i would suggest putting the bacon into the freezer first to firm it up before slicing.

Is a serrated blade available for the 8 1/2” big bite slicer yet?

A serrated blade is not available for this slicer.

What is the warranty on this product? It's different on every website I search for it and your website says 5 years. Is it only 5 years if we buy directly thru LEM? Please let me know

This Slicer is backed by our 5-year warranty. Even if you buy it through a different retailer, the 5-year warranty still applies. Just be sure to submit the warranty registration.

What model is recommended for slicing pork belly, wild game and beef?

Our 8 1/2 & 10" Professional slicers works best with larger pieces of meat. These slicers are able to handle deli size hams. If you are working with smaller pieces of meat, any of our slicers will work.

Can a serrated blade be purchased for this slicer? Mainly use current slicer for jerky slicing and the serrated blade performs great on partially frozen meat.

Unfortunately, we do not have serrated blade for our Big Bite Meat Slicers. I have passed this suggestion on to our product development team.

What size space on a countertop will this unit require? Are there published dimensions of the footprint?

The approximate measurements are: 11 Tall x 17 Long x 10 Wide.

Two questions: Your description states one year warranty, but the PDF manual states two years. Which is it? Also I see you sell this unit on Amazon but the price is higher. I have an Amazon gift certificate and would like to purchase there but how can I get the sale price when shopping on Amazon?

We are warrantying this unit for 2 years. Thanks for letting us know, we'll get the site updated. Also, Amazon purchases our products and sells them on their site - we are not a seller on Amazon. Unfortunately, any sales we offer would only be valid at lemproducts.com.

Where are the 3 screws to remove the blade I can only see 2?

The blade guard must be removed first. The screws are behind the blade guard.

I am not able to turn the three Phillips screws holding the blade as the blade keeps turning. Any ideas or tricks?

You'll need to put on a cut resistant glove to hold the blade steady. If that is not available then a dish towel or something similar can be used. Make sure to loosen each screw before completely removing any of them. This should solve the issue.

When will a serrated blade be available?

There is not any specific date for a serrated blade to be available.
