Description

Capable of weighing up to 330 pounds, this compact stainless steel scale is a reliable way to weigh your meat, food, or other household items. The scale has an easy-to-read digital display screen that registers measurements in pounds, ounces, and kilograms, simply use the mode button to switch between the desired unit of measure. The display is attached by a cord so if the product being weighed is large and covers the weighing platform, the display can be put where you can see it. An included tare function zeros out your container weight to help ensure better accuracy. The well-designed digital scale has a large food-grade 10-1/2" x 10-1/2" stainless steel surface that is perfect for big jobs or simple everyday use. Our digital scale can be used with batteries or by plugging it in, and includes one 9V battery and 110V 7-1/2-foot power cord. The automatic shutoff feature helps preserve battery life.

Awesome scale!
I really like that the display isn’t on the scale itself. This way you can read the weight without it being covered up by a heavy tote full of meat sitting on top of the scale.

I use this for weighing all my batches of sticks, bologna and sausages. Also use it for UPS packages and my weight has always matched theirs. Doesn’t take up much room for as much weight as it weighs. Plenty big enough for a meat lug to fit on it. Great scale!

Can the auto-shutoff be disabled? I have a scenario where a weight needs to be monitored constatly.

I'm looking for a scale that functions like the one you described. I want to use it for my chlorine cylinders. Continuously monitoring. Did you have any luck finding one that answered your needs if so, which one? LEM: In 2016 we changed this product so if you are using the AC adapter, not the batteries, the unit will stay on. The battery shut down has been extended from 2 min to 5 min.

The thickness comes out to approximately 1 inch, and the center to center of the feet is 8 3/8ths inches.

We do not recommend using this scale for that use, the platform is not as large as a standard bathroom scale.

Does this scale meat weights and measures requirements for retail use?

This scale reads to the 10th decimal point. It will weigh as little as .5 lb./8 oz./.25 kg or a maximum of 330 lbs./330:00 oz/150 kgs.

Does this go to the third decimal?

No, this scale is mainly used for larger items to weigh, such as meat. It will not ever register a weight until it reaches 5.5 lbs. If you're looking for a scale with more precise measure may I suggest our 11 lb. Digital Kitchen Scale - SKU # 1193A, it will weigh in pounds/ounces, grams, kilograms - 1 oz. or .001 kg or 1 g increments. It also offers a zero adjusting tare function.
